no....metal halide lamps are bl**dy expensive, and get bl**dy hot as well....they are just lower wattage than halogen but put out a load of white light...got 150 watt one on our horse menege.
you definately need the goliaths. 3 of them small gennie, 150 watt of florescent lamps is very bright
