Arrow New forum categories

I'll be adding a number of new forum categories as we head towards D Day. The first of these are up now as I think they'll be some use.

Ebay watcher - a home for all those ebay links we find on our travels. Will also give better visibility to really useful auctions like firing systems, PPE and collectables. Moderator and "Ebay Watcher" wanted - someone who can keep the forum ticking over with new links from Ebay, and moderating anything unsuitable. Hours - lots. Pay - none. PM me.

Fireworks in the press - a home for all those great news stories you find, and a central place (regardless of subject, pro or non-pro etc) for them. I appreciate most of the stories are bad news, but they're still interesting. Moderator and "Press Tsar" wanted - someone who can spend a few hours now and again trawling for new stories from regional and national news sites, and moderating posts (ensuring stories have links to their source, removing any dodgy formatting like Hotdog's trick fonts ). Hours - lots. Pay - none. PM me.

Pro fireworks has moved to under its own heading.

Recruitment - Intended for any pro companies to post about their vacancies or if they need firers etc - thought this was more useful as a forum rather than a pinned post.

Was on lunch break at work Thanks for mentioning beer - another three hours to go

Forgot to say, suggestions for forum categories always welcome. That reminds me, just thought of another... new member hello forum.

OK, moderator also wanted for the New member welcome forum. Someone who will be pro-active in welcoming new members as/when they post there, and keep subsequent threads on topic. Also to remove "watch out for monkey" posts, private in-jokes/banter and the likes which are all very funny but to a new member comes across as a bit cliquey. Finally, if the thread goes off topic (turns into a discussion on something other than saying hi) to post that the member should start a new thread in the relevant section. PM me.

I was half expecting him to volunteer when he read that... he'd be great for the job though. We need a bubbly, outgoing (loud) person front of house to welcome the punters in.

I realise a number of members had volunteered to help out and moderate a while ago - if anyone did this and they are still interested can you please PM me, don't assume I'll contact you (as I lost the list of people who wanted to help out!!).

Small bit of housekeeping today, added a member map link to the main forum description and a firework shops map link to the firework offers description. Also, "member displays" has never had much traffic (most posts of that nature going in General discussion) so I have moved the posts to general discussion and closed that forum - some of you are posting some great reports, video etc in there and it was getting a bit missed.
