Talking New Fireworks Photos Gallery

The UKFR Gallery is the next part of the old site to come across.

Although this has always been free to access, I will be making proper use of it from now onwards as a place to publish photos when I don't want to do a full feature. I couldn't do that on the old site as the Features were premium content for subscribers and I didn't want to upload free images to the gallery. Those restrictions do not apply now because the whole site is becoming free.

This is great news for firework events and the likes when I take the SLR but don't have enough content for a full blown feature, and I have more than a few folders full of unseen photos I will be uploading in due course.

In the meantime, there are two "new" galleries, Firework Crazy (a summary of the images that were uploaded "live", now given a permanent home in the gallery) and Stowmarket, which was just an older folder of pics I picked at random to get that section started.

This is aimed at the few of you who uploaded to the gallery: I really appreciate your input to the gallery and have transferred 90% of your photos over to the new one However please note, I no longer allow user uploads (use the forum instead, or ZIP your photos and email them to me for me to upload to the Gallery) because of the admin hassle. And anything you uploaded after Feb 2009 when I started work moving the gallery is likely to have been missed, sorry. And definitely do NOT upload any new stuff to the old gallery - it will be deleted shortly.

I will be closing down the "old" gallery on the main UKFR site very soon and redirecting to the new one, which you can view by clicking "GALLERY" in the main menu at the top of the screen here, or use this link:
