The paper edition of The Daily Telegraph (16/3/2010) carried an item with the headline "Model Leaders - Fiery end awaits cardboard couples". It had pictures of Presidents Sarkozy & Obama as portrayed in ninots at Las Fallas 2010.
The item reads:
Quote:
The first couples of France and the United States have been lampooned in 10ft sculptures of cardboard and wood that are due to be burned in a Spanish festival this week.
President Nicolas Sarkozy is portrayed standing on the Eiffel Tower to kiss his statuesque wife Carla and President Barack Obama is shown as Superman flying to the rescue of his wife Michelle.
The sculptures have been created for the Fallas Festival in Valencia, an annual celebration and tribute to St. Joseph, the patron saint of carpenters. They will be burned in the city streets on Friday.

The Fallas Fair in Valencia, Spain - Telegraph
If you look around the Telegraph's site, there are photos that are more firework related from last year's Las Fallas. Methinks this year's Telegraph article could go in one of 2 forum's..... I've posted it here because it's press related rather than UKFR Member Meet & Event related.... and anyway, Las Fallas is (in part) a fireworks festival.
