Back on topic I agree with Ambientskies to use Welders Gloves and cut down wrist length but find some that are flexible and can work a stopwatch buttons OK!!! Look for BN EN 407, Also the Kevlar gloves give good flexability but the decent ones more expensive than welders IMO
Also cannot see problem with mesh visors as they stop debris but I would still wear safety specs as well. I started to use this as I wore glasses but now have safety specs that wrap around and glasses fit underneath. I prefer not to use the mesh visor now as it does restrict visability and I feel I should have a chainsaw in my hand and not a Rothy.
However I think there was a note in a thread some time ago about something coming up under a visor and I guess we just have to be aware of all the potential risks when hand firing. I expect the comment about using electronic firing is very valid but not always practical for firing small displays from a time and cost perspective.
