Spent some time surrounded by the boys in "Golds and Gallets" tonight.

Just driving home and was first on the scene for a nasty car crash where (I think) the driver must have had a stroke or heart attack at the wheel causing him to floor the accelerator. He ended up completely trapped in mangled metal and wasn't breathing when I got to him. Thank God he spluttered and re-started just as I was trying to remember the priorities if you suspect spinal damage, so I just tried to hold his head still until the ambulance arrived.

But I think I was in slight shock as all I could think about was how good those helmets looked!

(Sorry to lay that on you guys, but there's no one else in tonight and I kinda needed to talk....)

Ouch. Not a nice scene, Andy. Having been on the scene of a hit and run and watched a child die, I can understand how you feel. Sounds like you acted properly. It does take time for the shock to wear off, though, so take care.
