Default Date/Time format

Being a bear of little brain, I get confused when I see a posting time for posts or PMs something like "07:37 PM".

"10:37 PM" doesn't phase me, but there's something about that leading zero in "07:37" that makes me ignore the 'PM' bit and think it was sent in the morning.

I can't see anything in the options I can set myself. Is it a global admin-type setting?

I think all the other forums I go to use the 24-hr clock. And good reason we couldn't? Anyone feel strongly one way or the other?

Should I get out more?

I have removed the leading zero, so it's now 7:30 AM or 7:30 PM but never 07:30 PM.

You can actually have it any way you want Andy, the reference manual is here.

You're a gentleman sir. I salute you!

(Oh... that's a shame... with the new image posting rules, I can't add a smilie from elsewhere except as an attachment - Next question!!)

Correct - but you can still use it in your post wherever you want. Upload the image as an attachment either way (from your PC or a link) then where you want to insert it, use the drop down attachment option and select your picture.

Eg. here is some text
here is an attachment used within a post: Name: yes_sir.gif
Views: 23
Size: 3.3 KB
here is some more text

The only difference then is an extra mouse click or two And any attachments will always be in your post - the old method leaves lots of broken images when they move, or the remote site stops you linking etc.

Just posted my problem with this in another topic - I can't see a "down arrow".
