A slightly different question about Youtube videos

Are you able to or allowed to post Youtube videos anywhere in the forum? By this I mean actually imbedding a video from Youtube into the forum for anyone to see instead of just a link.

I have seen links to vids put in posts so I assume it is ok, but I guess from reading the other posts in this thread, some videos might be not such a good idea to share ie. someone doing something stupid with a firework

That's exactly right.
you can embed videos directly into your post. Use the Youtube code button on the "advanced" posting page and add JUST the ID for the video (the bit after the "v=" in the URL).

However, as a site that encourages the safe use of fireworks, we don't really want to show (or even link to) the videos of people doing seriously daft things with them.
We all know where to look for them if we want to watch them, but not here.

I just wanted to check up on the rules of posting vids before I went ahead & did anything
