Thanks for the post Pete, it's good to know that "behavior" doesn't go unnoticed

Long ago we used to have a "Sin Bin". Old timers around here may remember it. Thankfully it didn't have to be used much - but it did get used from time to time. I'm thinking that the development of the vBulletin forum software used for the the UKFR now gives us a refinement on that idea. I gather that Pete's going to go with it.

One point to make, on a general discussion forum, I'd say post should typically be on topic that will be of interest to a general audience- in this case, people with an interest in fireworks.
It's good that there is a different forum for Cat 4, for example, because thats more of a specialist area.
For example, there was a recent thread about two members of the team from Kimbolton, asking where they have gone. This isn't really a "general" discussion, it's more a trade discussion.
This certainly isn't a criticism, just a suggestion. As the site develops, perhaps a specific forum for topics only of relevance to people in the fireworks retail trade would be useful, as well.
This might be handy for two reasons:
1. It keeps the general forum for topics that are of interest to the general public.
2. It allows for people in the trade to ask relevant questions on a specific board, with limited posting rights (retail trade only) thus avoiding pointless and irrelevant replies.
To be crystal clear- I'm not saying trade members (or indeed anyone) should be excluded from the general board. I'm just suggesting that trade-specific topics are perhaps best given their own forum- as that could be mutually benificial.

I may have to flag this as a potentially lethal posting Mr Whicker...

Tongue in cheek, teasing warning......
Hmmmm, Whicker, I can think of 3 forum posting guideline infringements that could apply to your post. Quite apart from the fact that in many forums, dredging up old out-of-date threads is frowned on. Good job the red & yellow card system (that this thread was originally about) was discontinued. I might have had to wave one or other!
More seriously, if your post is an expression of unhappiness with other members' posts elsewhere, remember the post reporting system is still in use. All reported posts are checked by moderators & admin.
