Default Posting in this forum - please read first!

If you're a new member please feel free to say hello and introduce yourself. This is a great way to get started in this forum. We're a friendly bunch and don't bite

You need to register first, before you can post. You'll find links to do this at the top of the forum.

Don't forget to add yourself to the Member Map! Just go to UserCP (top left) then "Edit your details". Scroll down to the latitude and longitude boxes. Links are provided to various on-line maps you can use to get your latitude and longitude. Simply fill these in and you will be added to the map!

Commercial and trade members

I have been asked to clarify UKFR's policy towards members of the fireworks trade posting here since some posts have been edited and some have not. UKFR welcomes members of the fireworks trade (whether they advertise here or not) who have a legitimate and genuine desire to engage with other members through discussion of firework related topics. UKFR does not welcome trade members who simply view UKFR as a means to be able to plug their own products and services or use it as part of an SEO campaign.

Inevitably, first posts from trade members and fireworks companies are going to include some information about their company, it is after all their introduction. This is generally fine providing the post appears to be a genuine one and not simply one big advert. We would also expect you to establish your credibility and motives here through your posts and conduct. So, if you subsequently appear simply to be posting plugs, or never post again, we will treat your posts as spam and edit or delete it as appropriate.

There are I'm afraid a small number companies who I am unwilling to support on UKFR in any way. This could be because they have infringed my copyright (stolen images or video or content without my permission), because their employees have breached the site or forum T&C (or have shared memberships when the site was fee paying, thus defrauding UKFR) or because I consider it would be harmful to UKFR's reputation to be associated with them. In this case I may edit or remove such posts and my decision is final. Please note, in such a case I am not willing to discuss my reasons for doing this with any third parties.
