Default A quick hello

Just a quick hello to all, joined this as I found a link on epicfireworks, thought it may be a good idea to get a bit of advice from people who also love big fireworks!!

Looking for some info so that this years display will be a good one. I have a list typed up and ready but I'm looking for some ideas on huge rockets, really loud stuff, and some good Catherine wheels etc. I've not had a decent display for Manu years now, since air bombs were still be used.

I'm going to give epic q go this year and see what they can offer, if anyone knows of any good places around the Essex area that sell some ground shaking items, would be great to hear from you!

Look forward to sifting through these forums in the future

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Light up a portfire and join in the fun.

There are some recent & current rocket related discussions in the General Forum....... hopefully you'll find some useful info there for starters. I'm sure some of our Essex based members will pop in here and point you to some local suppliers, too. There are some.....

Excellent, look forward to it. So far Epic seem to be the best from what I have seen, is just a bit of a journey, but maybe I will make a weekend of it.

Welcome

Raj at Newsbox (Loughton) had a good selection of some of their pieces last year which is obviously a lot closer for you.

Although, if you do make the trip up to Epic (and it's definitely worth doing) you won't find a warmer welcome anywhere

Thanks guys, Ive emailed Epic to see what sort of deal the can do me. May pop along to fireworkcrazy, I think they are also doing a display night 2nd oct which should be good. Newsbox, I am having a look at the moment.

Just a couple of question, anyone know where you can get some decent sparklers from. We bought loads last year from various suppliers and all they did was glow, no sparks! We are trying to find a black panther rocket, we set one off last yeat and it was pretty impressive.

Thanks for the posts!!

Probably worth asking in the General Discussion Forum...... I'm thinking that many folk won't expect to find much in the way of firework related discussion in the "Say Hello" forum. So once they've popped in to say hello to you, they might not pop back to see your subsequent questions.

You could also have a look at Firework Emporium in Ipswich and Dynamic Fireworks in Colchester Both have websites and both stock some good gear. Also both are open saturdays
