Default Hello all

I have been registered since last year but never got around to posting a hello thread.

So, hello. Pretty much the usual story, loved fireworks since I first saw them at about the age of 4 and have been setting stuff off ever since.

I am based in Essex and have been buying from Firework Crazy for the past 3 years, which have been some of the best fireworks to date I might add.

However this year I might also try Epic Fireworks. Being based in Essex Epic is quite a long trip, so I was considering ordering with delivery but the site states "Please remember we can only ship full cartons." So if I am right this means (for example) you get 4 of a certain cake to a box, so you must order 4 of that cake, right? If this is right it could be tricky as the site fails to list how many pieces to a carton, unless I've missed it or miss understood.

I would take a drive up there however I got Bells Palsy 4 months back and due to this I am still too dizzy to drive well, even being in a car is bad enough.

However, not bad enough to make me miss my yearly fireworks Plus all the neighbours seem to have given up with the fireworks lately so I can't have a quiet Nov 5th.

Hmmm...... 2 posts in a year...... time to light up a fresh portfire and to join in the fun.

It seems odd to bid you a welcome almost a year after your 1st post! Welcome, anyway.

Yeah, I sort of wandered off after registering but now will hopefully stick around.

welcome to the funhouse!!

Yes your assumptio is correct that Epic ship by the case, but their site normally advises how many items are in a case (ie fantastic is 2 per case) and yes it is the same items in a case as they dont open them and ship them in their original unopened packaging.

HTH

That's what I thought.... but I did a quick check after Davidjc's post and couldn't find that info anymore. I did a random sample of single ignition fireworks. Since you mention Fantastic, I've just had a look at that and can't see quantity per case info on its details page. I'm sure it was there last year.

I emailed Epic and received a quick reply basically saying that the carton quantities are currently missing, although will be put up. Also that for this time I may order any quantity I wish, which is a shame as I was just adding up this years send and not actually putting my order through today.

Hi David

Sorry to hear about your bells palsy. Thanks for your kind words on the quality of the products we sell.

I hope you will be able to make it along to the review night on October 2nd.

Would be great to put a face to a name.

Hi David,

Welcome along and hope your recovery is speedy

I'm Essex based too but last year made a trip up to see the guys at Epic and a warmer welcome you'll not find...along with some top class pyro aplenty and of course, with Mark at Firework Crazy and Raj at Newsbox Fireworks, us Essex pyromentalists are very well catered for in this part of the world

Having just received a brochure from Epic, one thought that springs to mind to get around buying whole cartons of one type of Firework is to go for one of their packs - I appreciate that you, like me and many others on here, may well know the exact pieces you want for specific effects etc. etc. and I don't know the kind of budget you're talking about but these packs can be delivered to your door so at least in the short term it gets round the issue of having to drive up there while your health improves...just a thought

Have a great GFN whatever you do (hope it's not too early to say that !)
