Strangely, they're not showing as birthday's today (again), although there was one showing yesterday on the main forum index.

I found this sweet little song for the "older" members: YouTube - Sarah Silverman - 4. You're Gonna Die Soon

Colin's not been around for 3 years or so. Anyone got any news of him? Anyway, Happy Birthday from me to you, Colin, and also to you Luvlyjub.

Oi....... I've just come in from arranging 2 funerals. I'm spending most of my time this week arranging them, taking them or being called out to do the last rites for folk who are about to need them. Many more deaths, funerals and terminally ill folk around than normal at the moment. So for posting that link, I'm calling you GEOFF.

Would i be right to assume this unexpected cold period has caused such an increase. Shocking to see that elderly couple found frozen in there house......its either that or people dying trying to save their dogs that have fallen through ice, can't think how many stories i have read of that happening.

No, not in my patch anyway. We always expect an increase in the death rate during severe weather periods but thankfully I've had nothing here. Mind you, some of the more stupid incidents of folk on ice have come from my area - one shown on the TV was at a canal location I visited the day before to take scenic photos. There have been a few narrow escapes in my area - and some brave rescues that thankfully didn't end up being tragedies. But it's cancer that's accounting for the funerals I'm taking at the moment - rather an unusual number of liver cancers and a high incidence of short cancer illness leading to a quick death.

So that video, although I admire the clever editing, touched a raw nerve. Still, it gives me a chance to tease Je... er.... Geoff.
