However using various website to run a comparison they are pretty much the same - it's just how you load them.
they probably are similar to a SWB low roof transit - but you wouldn't get a 5k show in one of those either

I think I know which Boss you're thinking of .

But my other boss has sent me out on shows of that sort of value and they've taken 2 vans..... sometimes long wheelbase ones at that. Maybe they've been big on shells, so lots of van space was needed for racks? I have noticed that the displays I've been on have been good on shells - I have seen companies which seem to prefer to go lighter on shells and use more in the way of cakes. We still use plenty of 2 and 2.5 inch shells whilst some folk I see moving more towards 2" cakes instead..... sometimes I'd like to go in that direction, fondly thinking it'd be easier and quicker for setting up and clearing up, quite apart from requiring less van space.

The other thing to consider is crew space. At 5k I'm used to 4+ crew and that's more than one van can take. But then our custom is for all crew to report for duty at the magazines and then travel together in the company vans.... we don't use our own cars or travel direct in our own cars from home to the display site.
