MARCUS, YOUR A FRUKING STAR MATE!

Thank you so much for holding this event yet again. You and your family made such a great effort to make us all so very welcome, the night was a great success. Even though you did your back-in that morning, you never stopped, what dedication to the cause

Thanks to the A40 guys, great show lads, well done

Thanks to the members that helped set-up & fire, job well done

And a big THANK YOU to the guys who donated their stock & personal pyro

Good to see old members & newbies + the Boss, always a pleasure

Thanks again Marcus, top bloke! (hope the back isn't to painfull)

Chetz snapped a few pic's with her phone:

Fantastic evening! Cheers Marcus, and everyone else who helped!
It was great fun and catch up with those i recognised, i agree though that name tags would have been handy to match the faces to names.

As for laminates: Maybe if Pyro Pete can dig-out the old link from Phoenix, who designed the i-dents a few years back. Chetz & I was modeling them last night... you can print-out your own, for say the Woodman or something sooner.

Many thanks to Marcus and everyone that made the bash such a great success. Carol and myself enjoyed every second (although the puddycat was feeling decidedly dog rough this morning - must have been something in the water!!

Right, apart from a little bit of mud here and there everything back to normal.

UKFR village has been dismantled, and the field left as it was (nearly!).

Its been a week of wondering "why am I doing this" (usually at 4am) but by yesterday afternoon, when people started arriving, I knew why.

It wasnt the best start to the day with a sore throat and runny shnoz, and then putting my back out seemed just about the worst thing that could have happened on a day like that. But what it enabled me to see is that these events arent about 1 person putting on a party, its about team effort. The comraderie and willingness of people to all chip in together, unpaid, and make it happen is what its all about.

Thank You Karl for always appearing at the right moment, your boundless enthusiasm for pyrotechnics and the forum. The forum would be less of a place without you.

To Luvlyjub and your wife (ill at home) for organising the cat3 and half the food.

Thanks Dave for your faith in us and for entertaining everyone (for miles around) with the heavy artillery You won the landowner over! And to all who helped in the rigging of both shows, you are all heroes.

Thanks to my girls, Jays girlfriend and me Dad, who managed to knock out so many burgers on 1 bbq! And Paul C for his fundraising hot chocolate kitchen, top man!

Just a few more, you know its obligatory. And I want to....

Sorry to the people who couldnt be there but wanted to, especially Tim as he lent us his genny and various kit.

Andy, thanks for the sounds, and it sounds like you did us proud on the rigging!

And of course, everyone who dug so deep (Shovel and Dave ) into their pockets and stashes to get together £1000's of pounds worth of fireworks. Fu**ing Sterling wish I could list you all but I'm sure your happy in your roles as anonymous benefactors! Oh alright then I'll start another thread and post me spreadsheet .

Ta to Big Jason and his son for stepping in last minute on the gate and showing the way in the dark.

And thanks God for keeping us all dry on the night!

Oh, and Thanks to Jeff and Chetz for this card:

It passed through my mind but thought it a bit "anorakky", but it would have saved me a bit of embarresment with names .
Ok next time I'll wear one.

Wow what a great night, many thanks to Shedman for organising this event, and all the people who worked so hard to make this happen. It is not very often you get to see a 16" shell. I have attended the woodman for the past 2 years, and look forward to attending more meets in the future.
