hi,
nah, i'm based in Marlow, Bucks. i've actualy partnered with merlin to rewrite their software. so far i have done their merlin match software, which i should really finish so i can get it out there (licencing payment engine to finish).. the new merlin fire III software is at a very low level at the moment, libraries for firing chanels, sequences, checking channels..etc. I need to work on the UI/show design a bit more.. Although i've done sucessful tests on windows mobile devices and PCs, so its looking good..

Regards
Chris

regards
Chris

if i wrote an import routine to bring other files into the new software then it could ;-)

hardware is generaly good.. proper peli cases, nice milspec connectors for slave units/data. the cases have been modified with big rubber gaskets around the two sides so you can properly close the case with all the wiring in. the speaker style terminals are about the only weak link (but then again there are plenty of systems that use them).

chris

4 weeks but i kept on his back however dpd have now lost it

its best to ask him when hes makin them and only order once he has started a run on them. he batch produces units so you need to order it when hes doing it to get it in a short time. although expect a little longer than he says there seams to be some glitches in the process still. but he does send it out and he is not going to use dpd any more. hes got a new courier that will do next day for same sort of price.

Any news on the Merlin Match III system?

I cant find on the website if there is a limit to how many cues each interface can communicate with.

I would like to know if anyone has any major pros cons to the system as it is looking as the best priced system on the market at present that may do what we want. For price, what am i likely to be sacrificing though?...
