UK Firework Laws & Regulations

Useful advice on firework laws, storage, training and insurance.

Good to know:

It is legal to buy and to let off fireworks at any time of the year in England, Scotland and Wales, but you must finish your display by 11pm. Read my firework laws summary.

In this section I’ll take you through the various laws and regulations in place that apply to fireworks, plus take a look at how to store fireworks safely. I’ll also look at fireworks training (including how it relates to becoming a professional) and fireworks insurance, which is critical for public events.

You might also find my Firework Categories, Classifications & Safety Distances article useful.
